Britney
is a young American who was born December 2nd 1981 in Louisiana. She landed in
the pop world in 1998 with the world wide hit single "Baby, One More Time". A
great success which landed her in the number 1 spot of the charts at just 17
years old.
As
child, Britney enjoyed singing, theough services at the church or dance
performances. At the age of 8, she tried for the famous shoe "The Mickey Mouse
Cub". Said to be too young she then spent the next three years in New York at
the recommendation of someone who had noticed her during her tryout for "The
Micky Mouse Club", taking courses in dance and comedy
Thanks
to a performance in 1991, she landed a role on Broadway. The desire to join "The
Micky Mouse club" had not left and she tried again at 11 years old. She was
successful until 1993 when the show came to an end. For two years Britney
evolved along with fellow friends and mouseketeers, Christina Aguilera and
Justin Timberlake, her first love, all now major starts in the music industry.
With
the show finsihed a cassette was sent to the record company Jive Records (Home
of Backstreet Boys at the time), who would then get back to her and would go on
to start work on Britneys first album, titled "...Baby One More Time". The
producer, Eric Foster White, Who has worked with Whitney Houston and Boyzone.
The success of the first single did not wait.
The
year 1999 saw the making of Britney Spears. Her second hit album "Oops!...I Did
It Again", Her relationship with Justin Timberlake, then a singer from the band
N'sync, broke into broad daylight and quickly crumbled under the preassure of
the media. Her third eponymous album does not rise to the same success as the
previous two. Britney ditches the image as a teenager/frightened virgin to a
sexy confidant woman.
Britney
decides to do a film and in the film she portrays an intelligent young American
who hopes to break into the music bisuness. The film is not a big success but
attracts a lot of her fans. In November 2003, she changes her image and finally
does it with her new album "In The Zone". The firs single being a collaboration
with her idol Madonna in "Me Against The Music".
The
album is quite noticed, especially through its video's being quite controversial.
The second single "Toxic" gives a free rein to her side of the raunchy sexy
temptress. The third single "Everytime" is able to cause a bigger stirr as
Britney evokes suicide. The year 2003 also marks one of the biggest scandals at
a music award show. It was in August at the MTV Video Musiv Awards, In which
Britney & Madonna share a kiss.
2004
is an important year for Britney, she marries Kevin Federline, One of her
dancers. Kevin was broke and said Britney was buying herself an engagement ring.
However, their relationship seemed strong as Britney gave birth to a baby boy,
Sean Preseton, September 14th 2005, and then a second, Jayden James, one year
later.
One
month after the birth of Jayden James, Britney requests for a divorce in early
November and appears out and about smiling. These outings with the hieress Paris
Hilton cause a shock and media attack towards Britney for wearing no underwear.
In
2007 Britney did a small House of blues tour on her way to recovery after a
downwards spiral in her life during the beginning of the year. She then was in
the studio and recorded a new album titled "Blackout" which was released at the
end of October. The album received mixed reviews and was her first album not to
reach number 1 on the billboard charts, with arguments made about them changing
the rules at the last minute. The album was stil a success and the first two
singles "Gimme More" & "Piece Of Me" both were club hits and charted high around
the world.
